Renewable Wind Power

There were days when mankind was able to survive with the limited supply of natural resources considering the fact that usage was also less. Now, the situation has completely changed. Great demand of oil and natural gas and less supply of it has caused lot of problems for humans. One of the threats to the planet is Global Warming and renewable wind power is the perfect solution to overcome this problem. The time is not that far when we have to use renewable wind power to even recharge our cell phones. Considering the fact that wind is natural and available all the time, it was found that it could help to generate turbines to produce energy in the form of electricity. Wind power has been used since the generations. We have heard about fairy tales and seen movies with the huge boats that used to move with the help of wind navigation. Wind is renewable till the sun shines and water evaporates.

The need for an alternative of natural gas and resources came in mind during 1970 when the oil shortage struck the world. It forced the innovators to think about something that can replace the natural resources up to some extent. They came up with an idea and started with a windmill to generate electricity. The simple and the only way the renewable wind power are utilized by using blades to collect the wind’s kinetic energy to generate electricity. This is considered to be the most preferred way of generating electricity and power.

Most of the countries worldwide are working closely to save our planet by taking such initiatives and save our natural resources as long as we can. The shortage of crude oil and high demand has ultimately left no choice to humans then finding out another way to generate power. Renewable wind power is considered to be the lifeline for many cities currently. The sight looks great with so many wind machines moving at the same time to just produce energy.

Such places are called wind farms where wind machines are kept in huge numbers to produce energy. The Horse Hollow Wind Energy Center in Texas has 421 wind turbines that generates enough electricity to power 220, 000 homes per year. This is currently the largest wind farm in the world and is making use of our abundant wind power.
